Babol is located in the middle zone of Mazandaran Province in north of Iran bounded by Amol city to the west (30 km)Qaemshahr city to the east (20 km), Babolsar port to the north (18 km) and Alborz sub mountain forests to the south . The city has been the regional trade center since 11th century.
